Greg Brown is a NAWRA representative for Scotland.
Greg’s path into welfare rights began as a claimant, living on £20 a week after covering the shortfall in his Housing Benefit. Since then, he has been a third-sector adviser for nearly a decade.
While working at Money Matters, he advised clients from inner-city Glasgow to the western isles and everywhere in between, and represented clients at all Tribunals (HMCTS and SCTS). He now works as a freelance adviser.
Above all else, he’s passionate about good welfare rights advice, and the genuinely transformative yet under-recognised role that we play as welfare rights advisers. It’s his genuine honour and privilege to represent advisers in Scotland and throughout the UK.
Greg is always interested in hearing about systemic problems that advisers or clients face, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch with him.
