Dan Manville is the NAWRA rep for north west England.
Dan Manville has been working in Welfare Rights for more than 20 years, through the urban sprawl of inner city Manchester, to the rural idylls of West Lancashire, and even embedded in a mental health social work team in the Midlands. Most recently he’s the Welfare Benefits supervisor at Greater Manchester Law Centre. Dan’s been instrumental in bringing a number of strategic challenges against DWP; particularly around their “Workfare” culture in the mid 2010s. More recently he’s been concentrating on workforce issues around Greater Manchester working with Greater Manchester Combined Authority to create new pathways into Welfare Rights.
Dan’s a keen boater and works with a number of waterways and traveller organisations outside his day job.
