Lee Oliver (Glasgow City Council) is a NAWRA representative for Scotland.
Lee’s first service-user assist was to help a school crossing person claim her A/R’s in ‘86, His first appeal was for single payments in ’87, his most recent appeal was a CDP appeal which was adjourned. Lee has worked in the 3rd Sector off and on, though mostly in LA welfare rights teams since the early 90’s. In both Scotland, [Strathclyde; Inverclyde; Glasgow] and briefly in England [Humberside/Grimsby].
He was for several years on the board of Rights Advice Scotland [RAS]
As a WRO Lee provides both 1st and 2nd tier advice and represents service users at Tribunals but primarily as part of the training team he helps create and deliver training to both his colleagues in other disciplines across the HSCP and to the 3rd sector in Glasgow.
